Appointments
Clients can make appointments at their convenience and be assessed as scheduled without waiting.

Dignity
Clients are assessed in a non-judgmental manner.

Confidentiality
As a private clinic, strict confidential control of client records is maintained.

Driving History
Client's required copy of lifetime driving history is obtained prior to or during assessment. Only one appointment is necessary.

Fee
North Carolina Statue establishes assessment fees. The cost of the assessment is fifty dollars ($50.00), or the client can obtain it prior to the assessment in Raleigh at the DMV for an established fee.

Assistance
Clients, upon request, may complete the assessment orally.

Information
Clients and their attorneys may obtain information from Johnston Counseling Services without bureaucratic red tape, or unwarranted waiting.

Coordination
Upon clients' requests assessments are delivered to clients' attorneys for presentation in court. JCS will discuss assessment results with clients' attorneys at no cost to clients.

Restoration of license
JCS ensures required documentation for the restoration of driving privileges is accurate and presented promptly to appropriate agencies.

Time Factor
Although JCS can normally complete an assessment in a day, it is imperative that clients obtain their assessments as soon as possible. States vary to the response time in reporting client driving history. Some states require approximately two weeks to report driving history.

Pre-court counseling
Clients completing recommended counseling, prior to court date will be provided written documentation for presentation in court.

Treatment
Treatment recommendations will be determined based on assessment results. Recommendations will be available immediately following the assessment.
